CONSTRUCTION OF SOLAR POWERED BOREHOLES, OVERHEAD TANKS AND ANIMAL DRINKING POINTS IN 36 LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS, KANO STATE, NIGERIA
The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) (hereinafter called “Borrower”) has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) (the “Bank”) in the form of a “credit” (hereinafter called “credit” toward the cost of Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) Project.
1. The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) Project, State Coordination Office (SCO) Kano, an implementing agency of the Client intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this credit to eligible payments under the contract for construction of solar powered boreholes, overhead tanks and animal drinking points In 36 local government areas, Kano state, Nigeria.
2. Payments by the Bank will be made only at the request of the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) Project, Kano State Coordination Office (SCO) and upon approval by the Bank, and will be subject, in all respects, to the terms and conditions of the financing agreement.
3. The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (LPRES) Project – State Coordination Office, Kano State now invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for this activity: Renovation, Upgrade and Remodelling of Infrastructure in Kano State. the working period is 5 months.

4. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers – Procurement in Investment Projects Financing (IPF), Revised Edition of February 2025 (“Procurement Regulations”), address available on www.worldbank.org/procure and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the office of the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES) – Kano State Coordination Office, Ministry of Agriculture & Natural Resources Office, No. 1 Bidda Road, Off Post Office Road, Kano and inspect the bidding document during office hours from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (local time) Monday – Friday, at the address given below
6. Bids must be delivered to the address in paragraph 10 below on or before Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 – 12:00 pm (local time). Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders, designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below from 12.00 noon on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026
7. The Bidding document is in English language and may be purchased by interested bidders upon submission of a written application to the address below and payment of a non-refundable fee of One Hundred Thousand Naira (NGN 100,000.00) only. The method of payment will be by a certified bank draft, Cash or direct transfer in favour of the following Account: 5074353537 Zenith Bank Plc, Kano State L-PRES. Proof of payment to be presented at the address below.
8. All Bids must be accompanied by a Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and/or Sexual Harassment (SH) Declaration.
9. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
